Reo Shimmura

Student fellow

I am Shimmura from the Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering at Hiroshima University. My major is Information Science, and in the Visual Information Laboratory I conduct research on depth image processing and 3D model optimization.
At TGIF, I work as a member of the ITG team, supporting development while continuously expanding my knowledge and strengthening my practical skills.

Kosuke Kobayashi

I am Kosuke Kobayashi, a first‑year master’s student in the Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering. In the Visual Information Science Laboratory, I conduct research on medical image processing with the aim of contributing to real‑world problem solving.
At TGIF, I mainly work on front‑end development for projects such as the cafeteria congestion visualization service and the university festival service.

I am Reo Nagata, a first-year master's student in the Division of Educational Sciences at the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
At TGIF, I am responsible for backed development annd infrastructure for the cafeteria congestion estimation project.

I am Reo Kanesaki, a fourth‑year student in the Faculty of Economics at Hiroshima University. I have studied economics and management and belonged to a data science seminar.
At TGIF, I am mainly responsible for designing and developing IoT devices. I hope to take on the Town & Gown project from both economic/management and engineering perspectives. I am also interested in entrepreneurship, hoping to make use of the management knowledge I have gained at university.

I am Kota Suzuki, a second‑year master’s student in the Mechanical Engineering Program of the Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering at Hiroshima University. In graduate school, I conduct research on industrial robotic arms used in factories.
At TGIF, I am responsible for detecting the queues that arise during lunchtime in the cafeteria, identifying when congestion occurs before meals are served.

Yuka Maki

I am Maki, a third‑year student in School of Education, Program in Art Education at Hiroshima University.
At TGIF, I am responsible for web design and related creative work.
At university, I study visual expression through both practical and theoretical approaches in art education, exploring the possibilities of visual communication through my own artwork and design. I hope to apply the insights I gain from my studies to my work at TGIF as well.

Kosei Sato

I am Kosei Sato, a second‑year master’s student in the Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering. My major is Information Science, and in the Visual Information Laboratory I focus on depth estimation using cameras, conducting research related to the “eyes” of autonomous driving systems. I hope to apply the knowledge and experience I have gained so far to explore how I can contribute to regional revitalization in practical, real‑world settings.
