[Upcoming] The 1st TGIF International Symposium: Energy Transition and Sustainable Aviation. How does it work? Examples of economic instruments

The 1st TGIF International Symposium: Energy Transition and Sustainable Aviation. How does it work? Examples of economic instruments on 7th March 2024.  This international collaboration is imperative to tackle this challenging agenda, which is the continuation of the multi-disciplinary workshop inviting many industry partners in December 2023.

Every region and country can have a different approach, but we can work together by sharing and understanding the experience, technology, and expertise. The international collaboration can accelerate the speed of energy transition for net zero. We want to keep this discussion going, and the international community needs to work together to achieve a net zero by keeping the world so everyone can fly anywhere.

Now, we discuss and raise the difficult questions of how we can invest, where we can obtain the financial resources and how it works by inviting world-renowned transport and aviation economists for this symposium. Speakers are listed as Professor Tae Oum (The University of British Columbia, President of the World Conference on Transportation Research), Professor Marc Ivaldi (President of French Transport Economics Association, Toulouse School of Economics), Professor Martin Dresner (Chairman of ATRS World University of Maryland), Professor Hideki Fukui ( Ehime University), Dr Flavio Porta ( UniBergamo), Dr Jesus Rubio, PhD ( VP of Products Cirium), Mr Naruto Arimitsu (All Nippon Airways).

This event will be held in hybrid and moderated by Chikage Miyoshi (Hiroshima University/Cranfield University) at 1330-1630 (Japan Standard Time) on 7th March 2024.
