2024.9.5 The 2nd Hiroshima Agrivoltaic Model Study and Promotion Conference

On September 5, the “2nd Hiroshima Agrivoltaic Model Study and Promotion Conference” was held in a hybrid format, both on-site and online.

Continuing from the previous session, one lecturer with experience in organic farming and two lecturers with expertise in agrivoltaics gave presentations to the conference participants.

This conference provided an opportunity to deepen understanding of agrivoltaics while examining the characteristics of cultivated crops and their relationship with agrivoltaic energy generation through case studies. Participants also discussed future challenges in this field.

About the Hiroshima Agrivoltaic Model Study and Promotion Conference

TGIF aims to promote the integration of agrivoltaics into regional agriculture as part of efforts to create the next generation of sustainable communities.

The Hiroshima Agrivoltaic Model Study and Promotion Conference seeks to investigate key issues such as the development of low-cost and safe system installations, crop selection suitable for the Hiroshima region, shading rate assessments, and human resource development. This initiative is carried out in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, with the goal of formulating a model for a demonstration project.
