Search Across Libraries and Enjoy Serendipitous Book Discoveries!<\/mark><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ever run into these problems when searching for books at the Japanese library?<\/strong>
\u30fb”It’s such a hassle to check if the book I want is available\u2014I have to visit the websites of each university, city, and prefectural library one by one…”
\u30fb”I want to discover books I\u2019ve never heard of!”
\u30fb”I\u2019d love to know if the book I\u2019m looking for is available at a library near my current location!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To address these voices, TGIF student fellows developed a new feature called \u201cLibrarin.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In recent years, the number of people visiting libraries and bookstores has been declining.
While online platforms have made it easy to search and purchase specific books, it\u2019s become harder to come across books by chance\u2014the kind of unexpected discoveries that can only happen when you\u2019re physically browsing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s why TGIF student fellows focused on re-creating the experience of \u201cbrowsing the shelves.\u201d
With Librarin, instead of showing book titles or authors, it displays only book covers, laid out visually just like a real library or bookstore shelf.
Perfect for those moments when you\u2019re wondering, \u201cIs there something interesting to read?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By creating “Librarin” to bring back that joy of encountering books naturally\u2014even inside an app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By enabling the location services, you can easily find out the availability of books from the nearest library. You can also create a profile to bookmark your book collections. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to use the service:<\/strong>
You can find \u201cLibrarin | Search&check books across all libraries!\u201d under the “Services” tab in the TGO app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
