Please feel free to join us.\uff0d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Hiroshima University, the IDEC Institute for Global Engagement offers the courses \u201cMethodologies for Collaborative Learning on Regional Challenges,\u201d \u201cPractical Exercises for Collaborative Learning on Regional Challenges,\u201d and the \u201cTown &amp; Gown Innovation Challenge\u201d as part of the initiative to create social impact through university internationalization. These programs provide practical learning opportunities for students to explore new solutions to regional challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"border-bottom-width:1px;border-left-width:5px\">  <strong>About  &#8220;future strategy meeting&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a casual meetup for students interested in entrepreneurship, innovation, and real\u2011world problem\u2011solving. Japanese and international students come together to exchange ideas and discuss regional and global challenges in an open, conversational setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 \u201cProgram for Strengthening Innovation Ecosystems at Regional Core Universities,\u201d and has set the following priorities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-x-small-font-size\">\n<li>Identifying regional challenges \u2192 Creating research and technology seeds \u2192 Social implementation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strengthening collaboration among local Challenges\u201d<\/strong><\/strong><\/summary>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The course was offered during the second term, from June 11 to July 30.<\/strong><br>In the first session, students were introduced to the basic concepts of EIBL (Experiential and Inquiry-Based Learning) and gained a foundational understanding of what \u201cregional challenges\u201d are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the later sessions, students learned methodologies that support idea generation for addressing regional challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the final session (Session 8), each student presented the outcomes of their own inquiry and co\u2011creation process, based on the specific challenge they had chosen to explore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p Academic Year \u201cPractical Exercises for Collaborative Learning on Regional Challenges\u201d<\/strong><\/summary>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On September 27 and October 1, students carried out the practical component of the second\u2011term course \u201cMethodologies for Collaborative Learning on Regional Challenges.\u201d<br>On the first day, fieldwork was conducted at the Shoji Shimomi Store, where students gathered information through on\u2011site observation and interviews with staff, followed by group discussions on the issues they identified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the second day, each team refined and developed their ideas based on the insights gained on the first day and presented the outcomes of their work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p Event\u3000Town &amp; Gown Innovation Challenge<\/strong><\/summary>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the Higashihiroshima City Museum of Art, students examined the process of addressing the challenge of \u201cgenerating ideas to strengthen the museum\u2019s role as a cultural hub and platform for the city.\u201d Based on information gathered on-site, they analyzed the problem and presented their ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The program was held over two days, June 22 and 29.
